Geraldo Cadava is a professor of history at Northwestern University, and a Contributing Writer for The New Yorker. He is the author of The Hispanic Republican (Ecco, 2020) and Standing on Common Ground (Harvard, 2013). He’s currently writing a history of Latinos over the past 500 years, called A Thousand Bridges, to be published by Crown.
