Let’s Tell Your Story
Did you just get a paper accepted at a journal? Is your student — current or former — doing great stuff or have an unusual story? Are you leading inspiring learning experiences in your class or on a study abroad? Are you doing something unique to build faith and testimony in your students? We want to know!
We always need content for donor reports, websites, videos, news stories, and social media, and to share with University Communications. We’d love to help you find the story in the great work you’re doing.
Promotions Services
We offer several promotional options for events including digital signs, posters, and announcements in the college newsletter. Digital signs are located in the KMBL lobby and the JFSB southeast lobby and basement. Posters can be displayed in the KMBL lobby and in the external stairwells of the JFSB. To reserve space for either digital signs or posters, please email fhss-promotions@byu.edu. Posters and digital signs can be displayed for up to 2 weeks prior to your event.
Design Services
Our team of talented student designers can work with you to create promotional materials including posters, digital signs, brochures, research project logos, and more. Please initiate a project by submitting a request and we will be in touch within 24 business hours. For event promotion, you'll want to start a solid 6-8 weeks prior to your event. For other projects, please be considerate of student schedules with your deadline requests. We're always happy to discuss your needs.
Speaker Approval Request
All speakers at BYU events must be approved before an invitation is offered. For department events, the department chair is the approver. For events where the intended audience is the college or the university, and if the event will be streamed or posted online, please submit your request below.
Get Your Event on the Calendar
Insert event details, including a speaker photo, bio, and lecture title and abstract in the event request form. Based on speaker-level approvals, we’ll add the event to online calendars for the college and the university. Please also ensure your event is scheduled on the college's master calendar by contacting Rachel Dial.
Website Updates
We offer several options for promoting events and sharing updates through the college website. In addition to event announcements — which can appear on the main homepage, events calendar, and relevant department pages — we also handle general website updates such as content edits, new page requests, and design adjustments. To request an event posting or any website change, please fill out the following form:
Speaker Release Form
Guest lecturers at BYU should complete this form to give us permission for their speech to be recorded, reproduced, published, broadcast, and/or distributed.
Media Release Form
This media release form can be used for obtaining permission for and rights to photo and video of people taken off campus. For events open to the public, displaying signage about photo/video may be sufficient.
Staff Profile Page Form
For all college staff, please fill out the following form with all requested information. This will populate an online employee page with your BYU contact information, the services you provide, and your professional background.
