BYU Students Win World Geography Bowl at Annual Association Meeting
It was a moment of pride when the team with two BYU students won the World Geography Bowl competition in Denver on March 25, 2023. BYU geography professor Ruth Kerry was the coach for the team and they were joined by students from the Air Force Academy, Denver University, and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

History Alum Curates Exhibit on First Black BYU Graduate
Until recently, most people thought of Darius Gray as the first African American student to attend BYU. However, a history student searching old BYU yearbooks for inspiration for her honors thesis rediscovered more about the university’s legacy with Black students: Norman Wilson from Louisiana graduated from BYU in 1939 — 25 years earlier.
