Robert L. Kelly, professor of anthropology at the University of Wyoming, is a past president of the Society for American Archaeology and past editor of American Antiquity. He has authored The Lifeways of Hunter-Gatherers, Archaeology, and Archaeology: Down to Earth. He has conducted archaeological research for nearly 50 years.
